Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Given First Wedding Gift

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were recently presented with an early wedding present by two Welsh school children.

There’s certainly a lot of excitement about the forthcoming wedding between Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle - and it seems that the couple have already been receiving wedding gifts.

People magazine revealed that the happy couple were presented with a personal and charming present by two Welsh school children - Harry Smith and Megan Taylor from Marlborough Primary School - during their visit to Cardiff Castle.

The children were chosen to present them with a custom-carved Love Spoon, a Celtic tradition that dates back centuries in Wales. It was carved with their initials, as well as a beautiful design.

According to the publication, it’s a fitting gift for the pair, who are known to enjoy cooking together, not to mention the fact that Harry popped the question while making a roast dinner at their home.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are due to tie the knot on 19 May this year, so we’re sure there will be plenty of other interesting wedding gifts sent to the couple in the coming months.

If you’re going to a wedding and are looking for some inspiration, the idea of personalising something is a great one. If a carved love spoon doesn’t seem quite right for your friends, how about a piece of wedding word art?

You can select words and phrases that relate to the couple, their relationship, or even keep it really simple with the date, location and time of their big day. Whatever you think they’d most appreciate.

Personalised gifts really stand out though, allowing you to show the couple that you care about them, and giving them something that will make them smile for many years to come.
