About us

Shine with words is a small design studio based in the heart of Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom,
Established in 2011 by Andrea Bowler.

With 20 years experience as a Graphic Designer in Corporate Branding, it was after I started a family that I decided a change of direction for my career was needed. This decision came about after looking for a gift for my best friend's 40th, I simply couldn’t find anything that was unique and meaningful, with a personal touch. So I sat down and created my very first word art frame.

I love the idea of words being powerful enough to reduce someone to tears and very often I’m told that the person receiving a ‘Shine with words’ gift responds in this way, which is lovely.

It could be a song lyric,quote or line from a favourtite movie...

Words have an amazing power to connect with us, to lift us up, inspire us, this is what I truly love about my work and the job that I do.
